Health Benefits

Who is eligible?

  • All regular employees who work at least 30 hours per week.

Who can you cover?

  • Your legal spouse or registered domestic partner*
  • Married or unmarried child(ren) up to age 26
  • Children over age 26 who are incapable of self-care due to a physical or mental disability

Note: Verification of dependent eligibility is required upon enrollment.

*To enroll a domestic partner in our benefits plans, you will be required to complete an Affidavit of Domestic Partnership.

Dependent Verification

To ensure only eligible dependents are covered under our plans, you are required to provide documentation of each dependent’s eligibility. Whenever you add a dependent to medical, dental or vision coverage, you must show the document that meets the eligibility requirements.

Examples of this documentation includes:

  • Spouse – Marriage Certificate
  • Dependent Children – birth certificate

You will be prompted to add this documentation during the enrollment process in Workday if you add a new dependent to your medical, dental or vision coverage. If you do not provide complete and timely documentation, your dependents will not be added to coverage.

When does coverage begin?

Coverage begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

When can you enroll?

The first and most important thing to know is when you can enroll.

  • New Hires: within 30 days
  • Active Employees: annually during Open Enrollment
  • Life Events / Status Changes: within 30 days

The plan year for Ambipar is January 1 to December 31 of each year.

Retirement Savings Plan

Who is eligible?

  • All regular employees who are classified as full-time and part-time.

Retirement Plan Details

  • Your Entry (Eligibility) into the Plan: 1st of the month following 30 days of service
  • Auto Enrollment: You will be automatically enrolled at a pretax deferral rate of 3%
  • Your Contribution: 1% – 90% • Company Contribution: 100% on the first 3% and 50% on the next 3%
  • Auto-deferral Increase: Every January 1, automatic deferrals will be increased by 1% until a deferral rate of 10% is reached
  • Vesting Schedule: Less than 2 years: 0%. 2 or more years: 100%

IMPORTANT: Our 401(k) Plan features Automatic Enrollment and Auto-Deferral Increase – you must take ACTION if you do not want to be automatically enrolled. Upon nearing your Plan Entry date, you will receive a welcome packet from Principal via email, our 401(k) Recordkeeper.
